My eldest started receiving a minimal allowance only when she got to Grade 4. I also give incentives for good grades, but usually in kind, not cash hehe. The auction tip reminds me to organize a garage sale again. The kids helped with the sale last year. Maybe this year I would give to them sales from their stuff. :) These are great tips.
