Petty Cash and Other Matters

One thing I have most difficulty keeping track of is where the petty cash for my class (or should I say the school? hehe) goes. While it is technically not my responsibility to monitor the cash flow, I tend to be responsible for losing track of all of this. Why? Because I suck at keeping receipts and records!!! Our school head always shakes her head in frustration when she gives me a task to buy something for our activities because ninety percent of the time, I will forget to get a receipt, or perhaps lose it! To be fair, it often tends to be because the items I am in charge of (such as photocopying, etc.) are those that are often times not issued a receipt for unless you ask for one. Sometimes I tease the school head that maybe we should get one of those receipt printers so I don’t mess up her accounting all the time
