Welcome AY 2012-2013!

Tomorrow marks the first day of the school year for many schools around the metro. As far as I understand, it is also the beginning of the K-12 program in the public school system here in the Philippines. For a teacher, I must admit I haven’t given that much attention, primarily because I no longer am in the preschool setting. I’ll be exploring the whole program soon, though, just to see what it’s all about. I hope that with this change in the set-up, a wider change can also happen in the entire school system. Granted that given the limited funds, schools might not be able to avail of hi-tech computer systems or updated laboratory equipment and so on and so forth, but I do hope there will be a change.

In any case, here’s to School Year 2012-2013!!!
